FED: Brumby looking for excuses to block health reforms: Roxon=2

The Victorian Treasury supplied calculations to Fairfax newspapers estimating the state
government would be bleeding $1.4 billion in funds to meet Canberra's health reform targets.

But Ms Roxon said Mr Brumby did not raise that issue during a meeting with her department
officials on Saturday.

"Despite a constructive two-hour meeting yesterday, the first time our office was given
that figure was by The Age newspaper last night," a spokeswoman for the minister told
AAP.

"Mr Brumby has been very poorly briefed and it does raise questions about their overall
approach."
