Fed: Protesters want Aust's suspension from the Commonwealth

BRISBANE, Feb 25 AAP - About 1,500 protesters expected at CHOGM this weekend will callon delegates to expel or suspend Australia from the Commonwealth for human rights abuses.

CHOGM Action Alliance spokeswoman Maria Voukelatos today said the protest would focuson the Howard government's policies relating to asylum seekers.

"We're calling on the meeting to ... take disciplinary action against the Australiangovernment," she told AAP.
