QLD: South African ecopark managers seek Australian advice

BRISBANE, Feb 24 AAP - The managers of a new ecotourism region in southern Africa are
learning how to run the region - from the keepers of Australia's Great Barrier Reef.

The South African, Swaziland and Mozambique governments are planning a huge ecotourism park
in the St Lucia region, which includes game parks that are home to elephants, rhinoceroses,
hippopotamuses and giraffes.

The 22,000 hectare St Lucia Wetland Park also has an area of coral reef along 80 km of
pristine coastline.
